Who we are
The Independent Workers' Professional Union of Australia (IWUA) is a professional association whose principal purpose is to protect and promote the interests of members in matters concerning their employment or professional engagement. No membership fees are used to support any political party (including the ALP), so we are able to source and/or provide representation for all members, on all issues, better than our competitors.
What we believe
The Independent Workers' Union of Australia was formed by a group of workers who wanted to provide an alternate voice. They wanted to join 10's of thousands of other workers who had decided to form independent associations under the Red Union banner.
IWUA supports:
The IWUA are here to support, protect and represent our members. In the past traditional Unions have overpromised and underdelivered. We offer protections from workplace bullying, employer overreach, sham contracting, OHS issues and much more.
The IWUA stands for better pay, greater employee rights, better protection, and zero politics. Every membership dollar goes towards fighting for members!
