Update: Coles drop mandates!

Coles has just made a major policy update which they're trying to keep a secret. Thanks to a sustained campaign from the Independent Workers' Union of Australia (IWUA) and thousands of fair-minded Australians, Coles has finally dropped its COVID-19 vaccination mandates.
 
To achieve this outcome, we: 
- Got thousands of signatures on our petition for Coles to drop their mandates. 
- Sent personal stories to Coles (daily) of real people affected by their policies.
- Encouraged members of the community to use #dropcoles on social media until they dropped their mandates.

The member was a long serving employee of the Government in Victoria, who had complied with the direction to be vaccinated but had on numerous occasions explained his hesitation to upload his vaccine certificate to the workplace portal after a privacy breach that was still being investigated in the OIAC. After proceeding to the FWC for conciliation which failed and would have moved to arbitration the employer, case manager and the member negotiated a settlement of approx. $17000 gross pay-out with a full statement of service and the offer to resign rather than be reinstated!
